Dailia's story

"The pursuit of healing brought me to Shoreline."

I've been serving at Shoreline Church for about 5 Months in the worship ministry. I started off worshiping in the youth church and over time it has evolved to more opportunities to worship on the main-stage. I also just recently completed a 10-week worship ministry internship at Shoreline Church. In this internship I've learned so much on what it takes to be a servant of God in his house. I’ve developed a lot spiritually and mentally in my time in the internship.  I thought my ministry training was completed during the internship but God has called more from me, and I am accepting his call with the Shoreline Residency Program.

Before Shoreline I was going through a very tough time, I was struggling with depression and suicide. I didn’t know where I was going or what I wanted to do.

God would tell me I was called for greater but I couldn’t see it within myself.

So God brought me to Shoreline for what I thought was restoration. And restoration did indeed happen, but it didn’t stop there. After God healed me, he opened my eyes to the hurting that still was occuring around me. And he wants me to do something about. The Shoreline Residency Program will give me the training to be a beacon of light in people lives, to bear the image of Jesus Christ so that people can find peace, joy, and an abundant life in ways that only Jesus can provide.

I realized in my recovery journey that the enemy (devil) has been putting a wall around God's children from realizing their sonship and authority. The devil is at war and God needs soldiers to take a stand, God has called me through this residency program to be a warrior and to serve his children. This residency, will give me a chance to love and nurture others and bring them closer to the kingdom of God through worship and through servitude.
